Product Description
Grapes grown entirely on French Island & hand picked on 8 March 2013
The fruit from the D1V7 clone is grown on a north easterly aspect that is open to the cooling sea breezes of Westernport bay, which allows the grapes to achieve a fully developed flavour profile.
The 2013 vintage was relatively warm & dry throughout. The juice was fermented in a stainless steel tank with cooling used to prolong the fermentation time to more than 2 weeks. This helps to retain the fruity flavours & aromas for which pinot gris is known. No oak was used.
The wine exhibits true pinot gris traits with aromas of apple & pears and a long flavoursome palate.
Goes well with Westernport seafood or yabbies from the dam.
